Raj and Simran, played by Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol, are young Indians living in the United Kingdom. Raj is the only son of a rich Indian played by Anupam Kher and Simran is the elder daughter of Amrish Puri. Simran meets Raj on a trip to European countries which she got permission to go after a lot of pleads to her strict dad.After some initial misadventures, they fall in love. Simran goes home and tells her family about her romance. Her father, will have nothing to do with a love marriage, and is adamant that she marry his best friend's son Kuljeet, who is a man full of himself and thinks he is a shikari (Hunter), to whom she has been promised since she was born. Her mother wants to spare Simran, but cannot sway the domineering father. Even though Simran doesn't agree to the marriage her family returns to Punjab as they prepare for the wedding. Raj, however, does not give up so easily. He follows Simran to Punjab, meet her privately and assures her that he will save her from the arranged marriage. However, he refuses to elope with Simran because he wants everyone happy with the marriage. He wants to marry her with the consent of her father. Raj befriends the soon-to-be groom and pretends to be a friend of the family. He helps with the wedding preparations and soon gains everyone's friendship and love. At the same time Kuljeet's sister falls in love with Raj and it gets more complicated when Raj's dad suddenly appears in the family and says yes to the marriage. By now, Even Simran's father is won over. However everything comes crashing down when Raj's true identity is revealed, when Simran's father sees a photograph of Raj and Simran. Then, as Raj is preparing to leave when Kuljeet comes and beats him up for playing games with him. When Raj is about to leave, Simran's father realizes his folly and he allows Simran to leave with Raj.

A friend of Zaara contacts Veer and tells him that Zaara wants out of her engagement and has strong feelings for him, but when he comes to her rescue, matters take a turn for the worse and Veer winds up in jail. Twenty years later, Veer is still behind bars, and finds that his case is being given a new trial, but while he has a new chance at freedom, he discovers his lawyer will be going up against a state attorney who has never lost a case.

This is the story about the resilience shown by the Indians when they were under the British Rule. They are already taxed to the bone by the British and their cronies, but when Jack Russell announces that he will double the Lagaan (tax) from all villagers, they decide to oppose it. Leading the villagers is a handsome young man named Bhuvan, who challenges them to a game of cricket, a game that is to be played by veteran British cricket players, versus villagers, including Bhuvan himself, who have never played this game before, and do not even know a bat from a piece of wood. As the challenge is accepted, the interest grows and attracts Indians from all over the region, as well as the British from all over the country - as everyone gathers to see the 'fair play' that the British will display against their counter-parts, who are aided by none other than the sister, Elizabeth, of Captain Rusell.

The Wildcats are back. They start off getting out of school, where Shar Pay makes sure Troy has job at her country club. Troy then in returns gets everyone else a job at the country club too. Gabrielle is the new lifeguard, while Troy, Chad, and the others work in the kitchen. At the country club there is a talent show, which Sharpay and Ryan win every year. Kelsie had written a song for Troy and Gabrielle to sing at the talent show, which later on Sharpay takes (at a faster tempo) for her and Troy to sing at the talent show. Sharpay plots to take Troy away from Gabrielle,by getting him a better job than the rest of the Wildcats. Troy starts changing, all for a "scholarship", starting to act like a jerk, which results in Gabrielle breaking up with Troy, saying she doesn't belong there. After Troy loses all his friends, because he began acting like a jerk and had found out that Sharpay had made it where no Junior Staffers can perform in the talent show, he decides to do something about it, and asks for his old job back with the rest of his friends and quits the talent show leaving Sharpay with nothing, since she had ditched her brother to perform with Troy. She then goes back to Ryan, who had been working with the Junior Staffers on an act, who then leaves her saying she always wanted the spotlight, now she has it. Troy ends up doing the talent show, thinking that he would be performing with Sharpay. He learns a new song within a matter of minutes.

New Years Eve - Troy Bolton and Gabriella Montez are at a Ski Resort during Winter break. Troy is a popular basketball player and Gabriella is a girl Einstein. They are forced to sing karaoke together but afterwords exchange numbers. After winter break, Troy returns to his school in Albequerque New Mexico, where he is surprised to discover Gabriella is a new student. They become friends quickly and decide to audition for the Winter Musical in pairs. They get callbacks, and have upset Drama Queen Sharpay Evans and her brother Ryan. Troys friend Chad becomes upset because he is afraid that Troy will become distracted from the basketball championship. Gabriella's friend Taylor wants her on the Decathelon team and is willing to do anything to get her on the team. Chad and Taylor decide to film Troy saying how Gabriella isn't important after Chad tricks him into saying it. Taylor shows the video to Gabriella. Gabriella then refuses to do the call backs with Troy. Confused, Troy convinces Gabriella that he didn't mean it by climbing up into her balcony and singing to her. Meanwhile, Sharpay and Ryan manipulate the Callbacks to the same time as The Championship game.

Victor's hesitance towards marriage causes him to jumble the words. Two prominent families have arranged their children to be married in order to overcome financial difficulties. As the objects of betrothal, Victor and Victoria met for the first time the night before their wedding. It only makes sense that Victor, a groom with cold feet, would have trouble remembering tedious wedding vows. Thus Victor ends up in the dark forest ringing his hands and muttering his vows, the vows that the Corpse Bride hears, bringing her out of the grave. Victor suddenly finds himself married to another woman, a voluptuous bombshell bride who also happens to be dead. Whisked away to the Land of the Dead, Victor finds out that living amongst corpses is not as easy as it seems. Heads easily loose their owners and eyes never seem to stay in their sockets, an adjustment that Victor seems reluctant to accept. Once taken into the Land of the Dead, it is nearly impossible to return, causing Victor to choose between risking Victoria's life or giving up his own.

The son of Zamindar Narayan Mukherjee, Devdas (Shahrukh Khan) was born with a silver spoon in his mouth. He grew up in the lush village of Taj Sonapur, where he spent his childhood, indulged by his lovely playmate Paro (Aishwarya). They grew up sharing a special relationship, in which they existed only to each other. Oblivious of all the differences of status and background, a bond that would never break grew between them. Slowly, it changed to love but it was still unsaid. But the reverie was broken when his family sent Devdas to London for education. Paro's world crashed knowing that her Devdas would be gone and she lit a diya, for it signified the fast coming back of her loved one. Years passed and Devdas returned. Devdas was besotted by her stunning beauty and longed to have her back. But Zamindar Narayan Mukherjee (Vijay Crishna), Devdas' father, met Paro's mother Sumitra's (Kiran Kher) marriage proposal with condescending arrogance.
